That was a quite interesting announcement. It’s very good, that a new player will enter in the OS market.

DANG! I haven’t followed the crunch pad since it was first announced, that looks awesome.
I think Web OS’ have a good shot at taking over the OS world, however I don’t see that happening until you can do anything and I mean literally anything through a web app the same way you would with a desktop application. But hey, you gotta start somewhere, right? It also depends what your computer needs are, for someone who does everything online and doesn’t need anything else, then a Web OS is the way to go. Good job Paul, keep it up.

Sorry to nitpick, but “it’s” is a contraction of “it is”. The possessive of “it” is “its”.

Thanks Dale :) I think I need a proof reader sometimes.

Didn’t seem that fluid. Not sure if that had to do with the internet connection or hardware limitation.

There was quite a bit of controversy over that video. It was not sanctioned by Tech Crunch and they were pretty upset that it was leaked. Not surprisingly the low quality of the video and poor demonstration made them pretty upset. This is still a prototype device and we can expect its quality to improve before release and for sure by the time Google Chrome OS is released.

You can see the comparison here between Arrington’s vision and Google’s post.

That is creepy how similar the responses are. I really hope that the CrunchPad announcement later on this month is to say that it will be ready by this holiday season.
