It was not sanctioned by Tech Crunch and they were pretty upset that it was leaked. Not surprisingly the low quality of the video and poor demonstration made them pretty upset. This is still a prototype device and we can expect its quality to improve before release and for sure by the time Google Chrome OS is released. There was quite a bit of controversy over that video. I haven't followed the crunch pad since it was first announced, that looks awesome. I think Web OS' have a good shot at taking over the OS world, however I don't see that happening until you can do anything and I mean literally anything through a web app the same way you would with a desktop application. But hey, you gotta start somewhere, right? It also depends what your computer needs are, for someone who does everything online and doesn't need anything else, then a Web OS is the way to go.
