This release from the KDE is a pretty good one from the looks of it. It is sure to get some criticisms for some aspects that resemble features of both Windows Vista/7 and OS X. The good thing is that it has enough of it’s own new features to stand out. Read more »

The Shell is basically a replacement for Vista’s explorer which has been notoriously slow. It will still use the underlying operating system of Vista but replace the way that it looks and feels to the user. Read more »
