Kaspersky has announced today that they have an anti-virus technical preview available for Windows 7 which is free to download.  Kaspersky is widely considered to be one of the very best anti-viruses on the market and is continuing to grab a larger market share due to their aggresive stance against malware.

Currently there are only 2 other companies that have anti-virus products available for Windows 7, AVG and Symantec.  While other products might be functional in Windows 7 they are hesitant to claim compatibility without certification from Microsoft.

You can download the Kaspersky Preview from their website for free while it is the beta stage of development.  As with all beta software make sure you backup your data before using it.
