g1_android_multitouch_hack

It looks like the Google Android team was forward thinking and avoided enabling multi-touch by default on the T-Mobile G1 but threats of patent infringement don’t scare everyone.  The hardware fully supports the feature and coder Luke Hutchison has released a video and how-to for other users to implement it on their own G1′s.

At this time it is still proof-of-concept but is a huge leap forward for other users to improve upon.  Some of the motion is a still a little choppy which you can see in the videos but it is still an attractive feature for G1 users.  For users to enable this they will need to flash their phone which may void the warranty but sometimes that’s the price to pay for being the cool kid on the block.
